208 - Fat Flush Game (back) On

OK so Doug in SD is kicking my and Keith's butt in this Biggest Loser challenge. I am stoked for him! I weighed in at about 208 today and am not too concerned. I've been eating better, working out, and started riding again. My goal is still 190 by April. I intend to hit this by February though. Keith's getting nancied and I for sure am going to beat him at this. Doug seems to be my only competition.

Did you know about my book coming out? It's called "Don't eat crap and ride a bike"

Change your life man

That's actually in the book too. The liver is the primary fat burning organ, and toxins from previously-eaten crap hamper optimal functions. Hence the "flush" idea.

My only concern with the super fast fat burning schemes go with rule #5 from Weight Watchers 7 rules for succesful weight loss:

5. Forget Fads
Beware of "new" or "revolutionary" diets. Avoid fads that claim you don't need exercise, that promote eating unlimited amounts of certain foods (e.g., eggs, bananas), that ban food groups like carbohydrates, or that encourage missing meals or taking pills. They all treat dieting like a short-term scheme, when in fact losing weight and keeping it off involves changing your lifestyle. "There is no magic wand, pill or gimmick," warns Mackintosh. "But a healthy food plan that doesn't leave you hungry and allows the occasional treat is easier to make a long-term commitment to."

The good news is this isn't a fad, and I agree with you about "eat all you want/no exercise/banning carbs" crap - that's all a very poor way to go about it. The formulas and plan is based on cleansing the liver toxins out and a lot of the weight that is shed is water caught up from a lot of excess sodium. Thanks for the input though, I appreciate it Doug. Keep up your good work!
